All Over the Place
Elvis Presley may or may not have said God gave us music to bring us all together, but we’re still convinced the King and King of Kings weren’t far off in their desires to unite people. All Over the Place follows an eclectic format of guests and topics: music, movies, politics, sports, books, video games, etc. From many opinions across the spectrum, one podcast to host them all!!!
”I don’t care about our differences, the things which serve to divide us. I care about our similarities, the things which bring us together.”
CHARLES PAYNE
”Before we go any further, we gotta make something very clear: Metallica doesn’t give a shit. We don’t give a shit about the differences, okay? We care about the similarities. The fact that you’re here, we don’t care who you voted for, what you do or don’t eat, we don’t care what color your skin is, what you do for a job, we don’t care what you’ve done in the past!
What we do care about is the fact that we’re all together here, celebrating life with music. For me, you are Metallica family, all are welcome! Are you with us?!”

Jim and Eric take the title of the show 100% to heart, flying around the dial, musing on Elvis (the King on his death anniversary, and the movie), which actors completely inhabited their roles while portraying real-life people, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and whatever else popped into their heads. Enjoy.

All Over the Place... Ep. 105 - Resuscitating Sportsmanship (Livestream)
Sunday Aug 07, 2022
Sunday Aug 07, 2022
Remember when high school and youth sporting events allowed kids to be kids, and the sounds from the stands or sidelines pretty exclusively offered words of encouragement and cheers for the players, mixed with a little harmless peppering of the officials? I do ... and those days weren't all that long in the rearview.
This weekend on AOTP..., we address the issues surrounding how and why those not-so-distant memories have morphed into too many instances of derogatory and demeaning comments issued not only at the officials, but at and from the players and coaches as well, increasingly far too often words devolving into physical violence. Fortunately the panel also offers several solutions to get the pendulum swinging back towards an atmosphere of civility and good sportsmanship from everyone.Dana Pappas, National Federation of High School Sports' Director of Officiating Services, and Arizona Canyon Athletic Association's Shannon Eastin, not only the NFL's first female referee, but also a longtime advocate of building communities through sports, join the conversation. You’ll also hear from a few friends of mine who, thanks to our time as umpires, referees, assigners etc., invest our time maintaining an atmosphere to make the games as enjoyable and safe as possible for the student-athletes and kids playing them.

All Over the Place... Ep. 104 - Christian Toto (Livestream)
Sunday Jul 24, 2022
Sunday Jul 24, 2022
Blogger ... podcaster ... guest panelist on so many heavyweight shows ... and now author and OutKick.com contributor, Christian Toto stops by AOTP this week. We run the gamut from the Star Wars and MCU losing their once mighty narratives to how the actions of independent comedians like Andrew Schulz have done their parts offering alternatives to Hollywood's creativity-stifling model. We also mourn the opportunity for a high-profile music act to withstand the slings and arrows from the Twitter and SJW mobs in order to stage a concert aimed at narrowing the national divide. James Brown, who also should have had King Unifier amongst his many nicknames, continue to rest in peace.
Soundtrack this week supplied by Van Morrison and the debut of "The All Over the Place Theme Song" -- exciting times!!!

Despite a rough start to the livestreaming option, even after a flawless test run two days ago, Eric and co-host Jim overcame the technical difficulties before zigging and zagging through favorite 90s bands; what and who defines the makeup of a reunited band when key members have passed on; and the perfect storm surrounding the success of Top Gun: Maverick versus the endless virtue signaling which continues to devalue the Marvel Cinematic & Television Universes. All that and some tunes from The Cult, Jade Jackson, and Lucero, plus a little something from Sterling Archer's favorite call to arms.
